Sri Sri Guru Gaurangau Jayatah
Searching Mood and Love for the Lord by His Divine Grace Shrila Bhakit Sundar Govinda Deva Goswami Maharaja Jai Om Vishnupad Shrila Bhakti Rakshak Shridhar Deva Goswami Maharaja, ki jai.
If anyone fortunately will get that searching tendency, about spiritual life, they must come for realization. And also they will think about this mundane world, and will feel this mundane world is very temporary for every jiva soul [soul]. It is always changing. In Shrimad Bhagavad Gita [The Song of God] we have seen if we take birth, death must come. Then again, we will take birth according to our previous activity, and again death will come. And in the middle so many things, suffering coming. Sometimes a little happiness is coming, but everything is very temporary. Concerning the searching tendency about spiritual life; if as a basis there is some connection with a devotee of Krishna, after so much realization one must come to Krishna consciousness, because Krishna consciousness is full-fledged theism. What we want, if we will realize, we must feel we need eternity, we need love, affection, beauty, charm etc., etc. When we will realize the spiritual world is existing, our tendency will go to search that and more searching spirit will come to us, what will be good for us in the religious world. So many auspicious and so many great generals came for rescuing the conditioned souls by the will of the Lord. They have given a different type of knowledge, about the spiritual world. About our activity they told many things. But if our searching will proceed in the proper line then we will not be frustrated. And really we will try to come in Krishna consciousness because we can see... the 14 layers of this illusory world, but beyond that is existing the spiritual life. Then step-by-step by ourself alone if we want to go, we will have to go that way [the 14 illusory worlds], like this. But if we get some help, like an elevator or lift, with a great personality's association, easily we can cross over this mundane world and this Brahmanda, and easily we can go, easily we can proceed to the eternal world. And that is Vaikuntha, the place without anxiety. Here it is full of anxiety, where always there is going some changeable disturbance. But eternity, if we want, we must proceed from here to that transcendental world. And when we go there, through realization (and behind there must be some sukriti [pious deeds] for us, good association) then we will easily get that Krishna consciousness. As our own property we will feel it because we have willing, feeling and thinking. And through that spirit we can promote our self in Krishna consciousness. All the Scriptures [Vedas] and also other scriptures out of this Vedic knowledge, all are finally coming to Krishna consciousness, because the eternal and playful, beautiful Lord is full with love and affection. And what [sweet thing] is existing within us also, if we want that, only we will see it in a very full-fledged way in Krishna consciousness. Then it is very easy to receive Krishna consciousness with realization and with the association of the devotees. When we are a real searcher we must try to get the association of a devotee. Devotees are always living within the plane of dedication and the transcendental plane. And with their association we can easily promote ourselves to that service world, where service to the Lord is giving all happiness; giving eternity, giving ecstasy, giving love, affection and ecstasy everything, with five kinds of relationships with the Lord. And we will feel that is our home and this is not our home, but there is our home. After reaching there we will get great relief from all our difficulties. Krishna Himself appeared and gave that consciousness to us through the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita. We will try to read it, not only reading like book reading. We, with love and attention, if we will try to read Shrimad Bhagavad Gita our mind will not likely go to any other Scripture. Only we will get that spirit with our proper searching mood and love for the Lord, and love for one's spiritual self also. Then if we will read only the Bhagavad Gita sufficiently, we will get that realized transcendental knowledge, because the Lord Himself is telling: "Do this and do that." You will be super benefited. Krishna will be more happy. Jai Shri Gurudev, Shrila Guru Maharaja. Shri Chaitanya Saraswat Krishnanushilana Sangha Calcutta, India July 7, 1999 |
