    the most honoured teacher 
    of the philosophy of Bengal Vaishnavism

The Spiritual Lineage of Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math

In India, Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math is a sacred place of worship and a holy place of pilgrimage for members of the Vaishnava community - the devotees of Lord Jagannatha Krishna, who is also called Lord Vishnu. Sincere Vaishnava devotees seeking entrance into the Land of Dedication and Surrender to the Absolute Good return again and again to that Source of the Stream of Pure Inspiration. 

Before his departure from this world in 1988, Srila Bhakti Raksaka Sridhar Maharaj installed upon the throne of Jagat-Guru [World-Teacher], his chosen successor and most confidential servitor, His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad Sri Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Maharaj.

Some saintly persons have become famous throughout the world because of their pious character and devotion to God, whilst others go unnoticed. 

 However, Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Maharaj has been revealed to the world by Srila Bhakti Raksaka Sridhar Maharaj, and has arisen in this age of chaos and darkness like a ray of light shining from the effulgent toenails of our Divine Master 

Telling all the world, in his last will and testament Srila Bhakti Raksaka Sridhar Maharaj said of Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Maharaj:
"Above all, he is well-known and unanimously acclaimed as being firmly established in the philosophy of the Siddhanta [Perfect Axiomatic Truth] of Bhakti [Yoga of Devotion] as propounded by both myself as well as by my Divine Master - thus, I hereby appoint him as my Successor Sevaite Acharya, and President of Sri Chaitanya Saraswata Math."
